Signing up for a class or workshop is a great way to get involved in the paddling community and learn something new - whether you want to connect with a local group or travel someplace new. Professional paddling schools are always a great resource. But outdoor gear stores, canoe associations, and outdoor expos often host classes and workshops, too. It’s also a good idea to check your local park district or University outdoor program for sessions open to the general public.
