International Falls is the biggest and closest of the towns surrounding Voyageurs National Park. Perched on the border of Canada and the shores of Rainy Lake, it is just 10 miles west of Rainy Lake Visitors Center. With over 6,000 residents in International Falls and Fort Frances just across the bridge, this area is a hub of the north woods, yet each city still retains its small town feel. In addition to an international airport and a variety of accommodations, tourist activities include everything from golf to gold mine tours. If you’re headed to Voyageurs, International Falls has the most options for places to stay and things to do before, or after, hitting the water.
