I haven't been able to get the edit/delete function to work yet...anyone else run into this?

I just tested out a couple of my earlier posts, deleting and editing seems to work fine -- can you describe the problem in a bit more detail? *Note -- if you're deleting a post, there is a checkbox that shows up after you press 'delete' in which you will have to confirm that you want to delete the post... the default is to 'not delete' it.

I have not been able to edit any of my own posts. Except for just one time. I rely heavily on the edit function! :p I am wondering if the forum default is set to a quick timeout window for editing.

I havn't tried deleting any of my posts. Most of the vB forums I have used aren't set to allow users to delete posts. Even thier own.

Even thier own.See why I rely so much on edit! Yes, I just tried to edit to correct my spelling and could not. What happens is for an instant you are taken to the edit screen with all the controls and editing fields. But before you can move the cursor, it goes blank for a minute and returns you to regular forum browsing. :( So my guess about the editing timeout window was wrong!

Hi guys, thanks for bringing this glitch to our attention -- we see it now, and we're not quite sure why its happening, seems to be browser-related. We're troubleshooting, I'll let you know when there's more info.

Sorry, I was away for a couple days but had this issue last week. I was able to get around it by clicking to modify in a new window as opposed to modify in the existing window. Then I was able to make the mods and delete a posting.

Atleast in the meantime there is a way to do it.

edit:Try placing the cursor over the edit button, click the RIGHT mouse button, and then select "edit in a new window" from the pull down menu. Oddly enough I can modify and do whatever I want, but the first window shows the edit for a fraction of a second and then goes straight to the complete thread. PKYay! It works! :)

Thanks, pk. That works. I hope the forum's operators are putting our beta testing to good use. ;)
