Admin, FWIW I have had my user login time out several times while navigating the site. Also I don't stay logged in if I close the window and reopen a new window. Even if *remember me* is checked during login. It's aggrivating to make a long post and press submit and be told you are not logged in. All is lost unless you remember to do 'copy' before you submit and log back in and do 'paste.'

Hi houlibar, I'll start looking into this bug -- and add it to the bugs that other diligent members are finding. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, hopefully we can do something about it -- what browser are you using?

Thanks for working on it.

I've noticed the same thing from time to time......

....except, all was not lost. After I logged in a second time, voilla, there was my post in progress, as though I hadn't left. :D

Hi,

As Pake pointed out-- if you do get logged out while in the middle of posting/replying (has happened to me also) and get the login screen, after entering your user name and password you should end up right where you left off without loosing anything.

After 30 minutes of inactivity your login will time out. Only the rendezvous/member areas (photo gallery, forums) count towards this activity, not the rest of the site (Gear Guide, Destination Guide, etc).

I'm not sure what is causing your problem with automatically logging in-- I've tried it with both IE 6 and 7 and seems to work fine. I will look and see what I can find though.
