Paddle Whispers?

Is anyone out there familiar with the book Paddle Whispers by Doug Wood? I just tripped across a reference to it and, upon hearing the description, was surprised not to have heard of the book before. (I like to think I'm book-knowledgeable, if not exactly well-read!)

Curious to know more about it ...
